Back to blogging!

So I’m back to blogging at least for today! ;) I’m back but maybe a bit differently. I will not translate this (my laziness talking) and this will not have any queer interest at least I don’t think that right now.

The subject of this post will be TV reality show!

Had to talk about this after - yes I’m going to admit it right away – watching maybe one of the worst TV reality show ever. It’s called “L’amour est aveugle” (Love is blind). The purpose of this show -admitting there is one-, is to see if people who fall in love in the black still have the same feeling when they see each other.

I wasn’t supposed to watch this show but it was so stupidly addictive that I watched it to the end. First, the candidates were priceless men were pretty good looking except one who was probably the - let’s see how I can say that - “sample” who was suppose to clarify if love really is blind. So he wasn’t the kind of guy any girl will turn to on the street. Too bad for him apparently even in the dark his charm didn’t work. He gets eliminated by the girls at the first round and let’s say that they were pretty happy about their choice when they actually saw him. The men had to eliminate a girl too but apparently they weren’t that happy about their choice when they saw a cute girl in front of them.

So the show keep going, some are getting closer and closer, so close that they end up in each other mouth. And some have some disillusionment which was pretty palpable like when one of the contestants let skip an “OK” which sound like “Where is the exit? Please!!! Quick!” when he learned that the woman he was hitting on was the happy mother of 3 kids.

And then came the end of the show where there’re finally going to see each other. Only one man (1 of 3) decided not to keep seeing the woman he chooses when in the dark.

I know there is absolutely no purpose on this TV show but as someone who’s always interested in experimentations I would have loved this to be a little more real (isn’t it called TV reality?). First there were only 4 women and men not a big panel to choose someone who’s supposed to be the love of your life. Plus is it really love after 3 or 4 days together and here we cannot say it was love at first sight.

So what do you think of this show? Have you watched it? Is there the same TV show in your country?
